The Winter Olympics closing ceremony in Verona, Italy, was a unique and captivating experience. A blend of ancient and modern, sentimentality and celebration, it left an indelible mark on all who attended.

Speaking as someone who attended both ceremonies, the closing event was a breath of fresh air.
